Individual Therapy
Individual therapy helps to address your questions, access your self-healing potential and share your experiences in an environment that is safe, supportive and confidential.
There are no wrong questions to come to therapy with. Any feelings or issues that sit uncomfortably with you are a valid starting point for therapy – even if you can’t quite put your finger on what these feelings or questions might be. I see my job as helping you to access what you think and feel, and to support you in sensing your way forward.
I believe it’s important to weave together talking about past biographical experiences, as well as focusing on future possibilities, helping you identify both problems and resources. The Biographical Counselling training that I completed, influences my work by integrating ideas about a holistic body, soul and spirit approach. Thinking in this way may be helpful for you in giving you an increased sense of meaning and purpose.
I aim for a co-constructed collaboration between us to be at the heart of our relationship. All the evidence of successful therapy suggests that a positive working alliance between client and therapist makes for the best possible outcome, and I do my best to enable this so that you can get the most out of our work together.
I offer both long and short term work which will be regularly reviewed throughout.
